Albert Volkman
Albert Volkman has been infatuated with technology ever since his father first brought home a TRS-80. Throughout the years, he has since migrated from BASIC to higher level languages. For the last ten years, PHP has been his primary language of choice. Working with frameworks and content management systems ranging from CodeIgnitor to Expression Engine, he’s decided that the cream of the crop is Drupal. In fact, he’s made it his career.
He was first introduced to Drupal at version 6 while at an interactive agency in Orlando, Florida. Although his first project was implementing translated text for a multilingual site, he has since gone on to expand his Drupal knowledge, focusing mostly on custom module development. Albert has helped coordinate a massive Intranet transition and training from an older proprietary system to Drupal (over 120+ sites), and worked with several departments implementing Drupal-managed solutions for each.
Albert is extensively involved in the Drupal community. He’s attended several local Drupal meetups and DrupalCamps, as well as DrupalCon San Francisco, Chicago and Munich. You can find him most days contributing in the core and contrib Drupal issue queues or providing support on #drupal-contribute in IRC. He’s a passionate Drupal evangelist and will happily spend an afternoon teaching a developer or client the finer working of the Drupal system.

Sessions off the Drupal Island | BeginnerAn unfortunate side effect of developers' jobs is that they're required to be sitting in front of a computer 40+ hours per week. One of the keywords being "sitting", and we all know that sitting will kill you. My goal for this talk is to share what health tips have worked well for me and listen to suggestions others may have.
